Do you hear that? I know that most moms CANNOT WAIT for the first day of school. They are singing praises to the heavens for the first day of school to arrive. I have never been one of them. Oh sure, it's nice to get back into the routine, but isn't that what we love about summer? Having the kids around and NOT having to be so structured? I love the random "let's go get lunch," or Chris telling me that the car needs gas, so we can go on a soda/treat run. Just the simple pleasure of sleeping in. Like it or not though, tomorrow is the first day of school and even though I have some fun things planned for me, I'll miss the kiddos.

I like summertime better too...sleeping in, late movie nights, swimming all day, lots of bbq's.
ReplyDeleteI miss them too. I know its my first time, but even when they go for playdates and stuff-I miss them. They are so cute and kissable! Can't they just stay little for a little while longer?
